Introducing Our Vanguard Tripod Accessories
Do you ever wish you could do more with your tripod? For example, taking video with your phone as you take photos with your camera? Yeah, we do too.
That’s why we designed our accessories for the Vanguard ALTA Pro tripods. These handy accessories mount on the center column of the Vanguard ALTA Pro and Vanguard ALTA Pro 2 tripods. Do you want to have an extra tripod head on the center column? How about several? We have you covered.
Our center column accessory mount, side head mount, and end head mounts enable you to take your tripod and photography to the next level. Whether you just need to mount a second camera or have a convenient place to mount lights, microphones, or other accessories - these mounts will make that easy.
These lightweight mounts weigh just about an ounce or less. Utilizing the latest in additive manufacturing technologies, we use an industrial-grade 3D printer to construct these from USA-made micro carbon fiber-filled nylon for high strength, toughness, and chemical resistance.
Each mount has a retaining hole for latching onto the push button at the end of the center column, but you can also position the accessory mount and side head mount anywhere along the center column. At about an inch wide, you can place as many accessory mounts along the center column as you need.
The 1/4-20 stainless bolts are user-replaceable if the need ever arises.

The Accessory Mount
Our center column accessory mount enables almost any 1/4-20 threaded accessory to be mounted anywhere along the center column. The mount can be rotated if you don’t require it to be secured by the column latch. A jam nut is included to secure the accessory. A 1/4-20 Stainless bolt is user-replaceable if you desire a longer thread.
The Side Mount
The center column side mount is a 50mm tripod head mount located on the side of the column. This mount can be slid along the column if needed, and secures to the center column latch. This is an excellent option if you want a second camera, but don’t want to haul around two tripods.
The End Mount
The center column end mount is a 50mm tripod head mount located on the end of the column. This mount secures to the center column latch. This is an excellent option if you want a second camera, but don’t want to haul around two tripods. It provides a bit more flexibility for overhead or low, reaching shots.
